PH Scale; PH value; PH level; PH 7; ㏗; Acid and base; Acids and bases; Power of hydrogen; Pondus hydrogenii; PH balance; Ph Scale; PH Imbalance; Potential of hydrogen; Ph; Negative pH; Hydrogen-ion concentration; PH scale; Ph scale; Potentia Hydrogenii; Neutral solution; Potential Of Hydrogen; P.H.; P.h.; P H; PH strip; Potential hydrogen; Ocean acidity; Seawater scale; P.h. scale
  • Relation between pH and pOH. Red represents the acidic region. Blue represents the basic region.

Neutral mutation
  • Charles Darwin in 1868
TYPE OF MUTATION
Neutral site (genetics); Neutral locus; Neutral variation; Neutral variability
Neutral mutations are changes in DNA sequence that are neither beneficial nor detrimental to the ability of an organism to survive and reproduce. In population genetics, mutations in which natural selection does not affect the spread of the mutation in a species are termed neutral mutations.
Neutralist
  • Irish units on UN patrol in the [[Golan Heights]], [[Syria]].
  • Switzerland is a key example of a country outside of any military alliance, but maintaining a strong deterrent force
SOVEREIGN STATE WHICH OFFICIALLY DECLARES ITSELF TO BE NEUTRAL TOWARDS THE BELLIGERENTS IN A WAR
Neutral nations; Neutralist; Neutral countries; Armed neutrality; Armed Neutrality; Neutral state; Political neutrality; Policy of neutrality; Neutral powers; Current neutral countries; Neutral Countries; Current Neutral Countries; Neutral governments; Neutral nation; Neutral Powers; Neutrality (international relations); Country neutrality (international relations); Neutral power; Neutralism (country); Military neutrality; Neutral states; List of neutral countries; Permanently neutral state; Neutral States; Political Neutrality
·noun A neutral; one who professes or practices neutrality.
Neutral country
  • Irish units on UN patrol in the [[Golan Heights]], [[Syria]].
  • Switzerland is a key example of a country outside of any military alliance, but maintaining a strong deterrent force
SOVEREIGN STATE WHICH OFFICIALLY DECLARES ITSELF TO BE NEUTRAL TOWARDS THE BELLIGERENTS IN A WAR
Neutral nations; Neutralist; Neutral countries; Armed neutrality; Armed Neutrality; Neutral state; Political neutrality; Policy of neutrality; Neutral powers; Current neutral countries; Neutral Countries; Current Neutral Countries; Neutral governments; Neutral nation; Neutral Powers; Neutrality (international relations); Country neutrality (international relations); Neutral power; Neutralism (country); Military neutrality; Neutral states; List of neutral countries; Permanently neutral state; Neutral States; Political Neutrality
A neutral country is a state that is neutral towards belligerents in a specific war or holds itself as permanently neutral in all future conflicts (including avoiding entering into military alliances such as NATO or CSTO). As a type of non-combatant status, nationals of neutral countries enjoy protection under the law of war from belligerent actions to a greater extent than other non-combatants such as enemy civilians and prisoners of war.

PH

In chemistry, pH (), also referred to as acidity, historically denotes "potential of hydrogen" (or "power of hydrogen"). It is a scale used to specify the acidity or basicity of an aqueous solution. Acidic solutions (solutions with higher concentrations of hydrogen (H+) ions) are measured to have lower pH values than basic or alkaline solutions.

The pH scale is logarithmic and inversely indicates the activity of hydrogen ions ( in the solution.

pH = log ( a H + ) log ( [ H + ] ) {\displaystyle {\ce {pH}}=-\log(a_{{\ce {H+}}})\thickapprox -\log([{\ce {H+}}])}

where [H+] is the equilibrium molar concentration (mol/L) of H+ in the solution. At 25 °C (77°F), solutions with a pH less than 7 are acidic, and solutions with a pH greater than 7 are basic. Solutions with a pH of 7 at 25 °C are neutral (i.e. have the same concentration of H+ ions as OH ions, i.e. the same as pure water). The neutral value of the pH depends on the temperature and is lower than 7 if the temperature increases above 25 °C. The pH value can be less than 0 for very concentrated strong acids or greater than 14 for very concentrated strong bases.

The pH scale is traceable to a set of standard solutions whose pH is established by international agreement. Primary pH standard values are determined using a concentration cell with transference by measuring the potential difference between a hydrogen electrode and a standard electrode such as the silver chloride electrode. The pH of aqueous solutions can be measured with a glass electrode and a pH meter or a color-changing indicator. Measurements of pH are important in chemistry, agronomy, medicine, water treatment, and many other applications.
